Summits along The Great Bali Trail
The “Haute Routes” ~ Mt. Agung, Abang, Catur, Batur & Batukaru
All our summit routes offered here are summit trek ascents. This means that they do not require technical climbing skills or gear. However, Bali’s volcano trails tend to be “direct” – directly uphill / downhill (as compared to contour / zig-zag), and therefore summit trail conditions tend to be eroded, exposed and slippery.
Be aware of “The Beach View of Bali’s mountains” – Weather conditions can be hot & humid on lower slopes, but rapidly become cool, windy & potentially below-zero on approach & on summits. Prepare and get equipped with reasonable footwear, all-weather gear, sun/warm hat & headtorch, personal med kit and sufficient nutrition, and you will truly enjoy your “Bali Day on the Hill”.
To select a summit route suitable for your experience and gear, have a read of the our trail summit profiles for a full description of what to expect, so that you can make an informed route choice and have a super day.
