Undisan to Penglipuran

A half day point-to-point hike on GBT 26 conntecting two of Bangli’s most beautiful villages, Undisan from Penglipuran, a traditional Aga village, through the gentle terrain and farming villages of rural Bangli, and a special encounter at the ancient Fig Tree Bridge across the Tukad Barong river.

For those of you who want to experience real Bali away from crowds, on a stage of The GBT, which is easily accessible from Ubud and Sanur.

A lovely feature of this route is that if you hike this stage from Penglipuran to Undisan as a Day Hike, you arrive relatively early in Penglipuran before most visitors arrive.

GBT 26 can be hiked in either direction. We recommend Penglipuran to Undisan (West to East) for a day hike. If as part of a multi-day trek, we recommend Undisan-Penglipuran (East-West). For example 5D/4N from Kintamani (GBT 15 Kintamani Songan-Trunyan) descending via GBT 16-17-18- to Bangli (GBT 26 Undisan-Penglipuran).
