Highlights

A half day point-to-point hike on GBT 26 to Undisan from Penglipuran, one of Bali’s traditional Aga villages, through the gentle terrain and farming villages of rural Bangli and a very special encounter with the guardian of the ancient Fig Tree Bridge across the Tukad Barong river.

For those of you who want to experience real Bali away from crowds, on a stage of The GBT, which is easily accessible from Ubud and Sanur.

Ideal for:

  • trail-fit beginner-intermediate hikers
  • experienced hikers & trail runners
  • culture-vultures

Next-Day booking available.

A lovely feature of this route is that you arrive relatively early in Penglipuran, one of Bali’s traditional Bali Aga villages, before most visitors arrive. You’ll enjoy a calm warm-up stroll in this Bali Aga village, and then set off eastwards across rural Bangli for Undisan, where you can round up your hike with a lunch at DeUmah.

While en route, you will visit a typical Bangli village household for coffee or tea, and get to know what makes rural Bangli tick.
