A short circuit hike through Penglipuran’s indigenous Hutan Adat bamboo forest and across a valley of padi fields marigolds to visit Desa Adat Cekeng, Penglipuran’s lesser known sister village and traditional Bali Aga twin.

For those of you who want to visit Bali Aga traditional villages and heritage, on a hike close to Sanur and Ubud.

Ideal for:

  • trail-fit beginner to experienced hikers
  • fit families with older children
  • heritage & history buffs

This trail adventure requires 1 day / 24 hrs advance booking.

This circuit will reconnect you to Bali’s indigenous roots, exploring beyond the well-kept gates of Penglipuran to see how a less-polished Bali Aga village looks and feels.

The circuit rounds up back in Penglipuran, where you can enjoy a village snack and tea in the village, learning from locals about Bali Aga life, livelihoods and village architecture.
