A private half day hike setting off for the hinterlands from Puri Anyar Royal Palace Kerambitan, the second stage of The Great Bali Trail heads north under wide skies and open fields towards Batukaru volcano, traversing easy trails and quiet backroads through Tabanan’s world-renowned rice fields and traditional villages to Timpag on the banks of the Tukad Yeh Hoo River, the “River of the Water Trees”.
For those of you who seek a flat-ish traverse for an easy half-day hike sampling one of The GBT stages, away from crowds yet close to home, discovering ‘the little things” by walking in everyday rural Bali.
