Welcome to Indonesia’s first long-distance trekking trail, an ambitious project to regenerate Bali’s ecosystems, preserve heritage and kick-start trail ecotourism economies as a modern, sustainable economy in remote villages spanning Bali.

The GBT joins-up thousands of traditional routes used by the Balinese through the ages. Trail terrain combines farmers’ footpaths, remote back-roads, highland forest trails, crater rims and volcano summits.
