The Great Bali Trail will connect 30 Bali villages from west to east, spanning 350km and 30 stages.
Local community trail teams are being trained to provide the professional trail guiding support & service provision hikers and long-distance trekkers need.
Your GBT Trail Pass will pay for local communities along the Great Bali Trail to maintain the trail, and contribute to environmental, social and village development projects on the stages your visit.

Where else to Find Bali on Foot during those special celebratory days between Galungan and Kuningan, but on a day hike to Pura Puncak Mangu and Tinggan Village.
One of Bali`s 9 Nawa Sanga temples, Pura Puncak Mangu sits atop Mt Catur and can be visited as an up-and-back ascent trek / easy summit from Desa Adat Tinggan. Alternatively, one can undertake the full traverse (GBT Stage 8) from Bedugul to Tinggan.
Tinggan Village is the traditional guardian of Pura Puncak Mangu and village hosts of GBT Stage 8. Visiting Tinggan during the run-up to Nyepi, Bali`s Day of Silence, was particularly special because we were welcomed by Tinggan`s women dressed in a glorious kaleidescope of sarongs, gathered to prepare for the New Moon celebrations for the Balinese New Year.
Tinggan Village and Pura Puncak Mangu can be hiked on the Great Bali Trail Stage 8, guided by #teamidGuides Community Trail Guides from Tinggan Village / PokDarWis Tinggan.
